the journey
the beginning started as a lotus. i was 14 and i knew That was the flower i wanted to get tattooed on me to remember that if i passed into spirit form, i would come back as a lotus. Once i received that, i was hooked.
I began tattooing on my self in 2020. I was living in VA and I bought my first handpoke tattoo kit and gave myself cute little smileys and a heart to start off. At the point of the story, it was merely for fun and to continue the addiction of becoming a living art piece.
I started to tattoo people when I first went to Rainbow Gathering in early 2023. I started a tattoo while I was there and by the end of the festival, 3+ people came to me asking for one and even allowed me to channel a piece freely. That was huge for me, from only tattooing yourself to now other people wanting you to work on them was a huge milestone for me at the early in my stage. So from there, people started to come and find me for tattoos organically and without much expression. It just happened.
Within the time from then and now, I didn’t take tattooing serious. Yet it was always there. People would still want tattoos from me and I didn’t stop tattooing myself. Which felt sacred to me. To feel a practice stay by your side even when you weren’t feeding it. What a blessing.
I never could forget that when I am tattooing, I am in such a zen place. I feel calm and grounded and rooted in a gift of mine that I get to see take form. I loved tattooing and my ancestors continued to nudge and remind me that this is yours to embrace.
So now, I have chosen to pivot from building a mobile elixir bar and focus on my tattoo artistry. To give all of me to my drawings and give all of me to learning and tattooing the living language of water onto people.
This style of tattooing truly inspires, excites, and motivates me to offer this type of art. I saw the beauty that water created once it was frozen and made me wonder, ‘what if I could draw this and give it as a tattoo’ and from there, I have been lit since. To experience this process with people and bring the language of water to people is heart, mind, and soul filling.
